Port Melbourne Yacht Club

As a venue for large private functions, the committee of the Port Melbourne Yacht club faced numerous challenges in providing the perfect useable space.

A major challenge was the committee’s requirement for a dramatic multiple curve ceiling to mirror the effect of rolling ocean waves in keeping with their nautical theme.

Sound reduction was also a challenge due to the many hard surfaces contained within the area. When filled to capacity the area became one large reverberation chamber.

The solution? Install Renhurst’s flagship acoustic lining: Rippletone. With an NRC of between .85 - .93, Rippletone was the only choice for an area requiring such attention.
