Waitakere Aquatic Centre – New Zealand

The unique mechanically fixed polythene vapour barrier that Renhurst has incorporated with its Ripplesound Acoustic ceilings made them the popular choice for use in the Waitakere Aquatic Centre project.

Whilst not marketed as a totally sealed barrier, this system ensures vapour from the pool below does not penetrate the acoustic/thermal insulation above the ceiling. It has numerous advantages over the taping of joints method currently used by other ceiling systems.
